There you have it, folks. After leaving the Observer in June, my summer became very, very busy... attending Fishtrap, a real breast cancer scare (which proved to be something else), and my volunteering for the Wallowa County Flyin and Pancake Breakfast. Yet I missed writing my column. I met with Scot Hielsel, editor of our hometown newspaper, The Chieftain, and he welcomed me on board as a columnist. Thank you, Scot.
At this time, the column will be published monthly, so this blog will fill in the gaps of my many adventures in Wallowa County.
